Make production status visible where your team works. Salescaster® Andon board displays help operators and supervisors see production output, line status and alerts at a glance. Start with the information your team needs to act on, then select the display layout, viewing arrangement and data connection for your facility.
Discuss targets and actual counts, takt and cycle timing, downtime reasons, or assistance messages. Available fields and functions depend on the selected display, controller and data source.

What Information Can an Andon Board Display?
- Production progress: target, actual output and variance by line or shift.
- Line and station status: running, stopped, waiting for material or requiring attention.
- Timing and downtime: takt time, elapsed cycle time and downtime codes where supported.
- Assistance and safety messages: identify the station and the response needed.
- Performance information: OEE or other calculated values supplied by a compatible system.
Define how each value is collected or calculated, how often it changes and who clears an alert. See our Andon board layout examples for ways to organize the information.
Display Configurations and Viewing Requirements
Salescaster has documented single- and double-sided Andon configurations. Specify whether your team needs visibility from one work area or from both sides of an aisle. Confirm current availability, cabinet dimensions and mounting arrangements for the proposed model.
Choose the number of fields and character size around the viewing distance, lighting and available space. Full-matrix Industrial Series displays provide flexible text and graphic layouts; the illustrated production board shows a dedicated arrangement of labeled metrics.
Connectivity and Compatibility
Ethernet/TCP-IP connectivity is documented for Salescaster Andon displays. An Ethernet connection alone does not establish compatibility with a particular PLC, HMI or SCADA application.
For an integration review, provide the controller model, software name and version, operating system, available protocol or interface, sample data and required update frequency. Salescaster must confirm the interface, any additional hardware or software and the integration work for the quoted configuration before ordering.
Wireless control, barcode input, audible alerts and software tools must also be confirmed for the selected equipment. Existing installations using older software require a version-specific review before an upgrade.

Installation Planning Examples
These are application examples for planning a project, rather than documented customer installations.
- Assembly cell: position a board where operators can read target and actual output. Review count inputs, shift resets and viewing distance.
- Production aisle: consider a double-sided configuration when teams approach from opposite directions. Confirm mounting clearance and visibility from each side.
- Maintenance response area: show station identification, downtime reason and assistance messages. Confirm the alert trigger, acknowledgement and reset process.
Send photos of your intended location and a sketch of the required information. Ask Salescaster about relevant installation references and available project photographs.
