Salescaster® TAKT Timers and LED Production Counters display actual output, production goals and a countdown timer together, giving your team a clear view of production progress. The goal count advances each time the timer reaches zero, while actual counts are entered through the controls or sensors selected for your configuration. Compare output with the target and monitor the production pace at a glance.
What Is TAKT Time?
TAKT time is the available production time divided by customer demand. The term comes from the German word Taktzeit, meaning “cycle time,” with Takt referring to a beat or rhythm. For example, 420 minutes of available production time divided by 420 required units gives a takt time of one minute per unit. This sets the production pace needed to meet demand.
How TAKT Time Production Counters Work
TAKT Time Production Counters combine the function of a timer and production counter with three displays:
ACTUAL – Actual count of products controlled by manual switch box, manual wireless remote or IR sensor
TAKT TIME – Count down timer to set production pace
GOAL – Goal count goes up by one when TAKT timer reaches zero
Compare actual output with the production goal while the countdown timer sets the pace. When output falls behind the target, the display makes the difference visible so your team can investigate the cause.

Photoelectric IR Sensors
Photoelectric IR Sensor – Typically installed in industrial plants ranging from food and beverage, textiles, ceramics and brick production, through to logistics. This photoelectric sensor has high reliability and enhanced performance includes through-beam, retro-reflective and diffuse reflective types in straight and radial versions. Straight versions are also available with background-suppression, limited-reflective detection, and transparent object detection types for special applications. All models are available in plastic and metal housing.
Tell Salescaster® what you need to count, the sensing distance and how the sensor will be mounted. Sensor selection depends on the object’s size, material and surface characteristics, along with mounting space and operating conditions. We can help review sensor options, output signals and connection requirements to confirm compatibility with your production counter.
Proximity Sensors
Proximity Sensors – Detect objects without physical contact and can provide counting inputs for a compatible production counter. Available types detect metal or nonmetal objects, depending on the sensor. Salescaster® can help select a sensor suited to your material, sensing distance and installation conditions.
